House Rules and Policies for Conference Residents

All conference residents are expected to comply with Columbia Conference Housing rules. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in disciplinary action and the cancellation of your housing assignment.

Conference Residents Cleaning Responsibility

Laundry

All residence halls offer free laundry for residents. The University is not responsible for lost or damaged items that are left in the laundry room unattended. Unclaimed items will be donated.

Mail

Conference residents with a UNI can receive mail through Columbia Mail Services as long as they have an in-room status.

Service Requests

Please fill out the service request form. Do not attempt to fix or alter any fixtures without proper authorization.

Emergencies and Security

All residence halls (except brownstones) are staffed by a Public Safety guard 24 hours a day during the academic year. In the event of an emergency in any of our buildings, please contact the Public Safety emergency line at 212-854-5555. For non-emergencies please contact 212-854-2797.

Fire Safety

If the building fire alarm is activated, all guests must vacate their room and proceed to the nearest stairwell to exit the building.
